GARDEN RENOVATION
HARPENDEN, HERTFORDSHIRE
An exciting garden renovation of the area in front of the kitchen windows occupied by the the kids' trampoline, also including a triangular raised bed and a water feature.

The client asked for a creative design to reclaim this corner of the garden with paving to match the existing patio, sufficient space for a mobile barbecue and outdoor kitchen, informal planting including an existing camellia and to incorporate the existing water feature organically in the design.
The garden is now a much enjoyed convivial space with raised beds, BBQ corner and seating. Blending with the existing layout and planting, it is now full of brightly coloured plants, reflecting the client's desire for an informal scheme, bold colours, visual movement, and pollinator-friendly plants.

Having spent a lot of money on new planting a few years ago I decided to take on professional help to ensure the garden matured and bloomed optimally ...previous garden maintenance ( the once a season hedge trimmer approach) had yielded leggy plants with variable flowering history.
Cristina came to our rescue and has helped the garden mature into a beautiful space, worthy of comments from jealous friends. She has also nursed a lot of plants back to health, saving us the regular trips to the nursery, at great expense, to fill the gaps again with yet more plants destined to an unhealthy life.

More recently she designed and planted a fab BBQ chill zone to fill the space where the kids trampoline had once been. This has proved an amazing transformation bringing our whole back garden together.
